When observing or reflecting on the world, 1am often filled with a yearning to reach out. I fantasize about pressing my cheek against a flower, or rolling in a meadow.
Yet, despite my deep love for plants, an allergy keeps me from touching them. So, with every piece create, I envision those figures doing what remains out of my reach-living out my yearnings. To capture the intangible, to trace its contours in my mind, and to give it form with my own hands-this is my way of truly touching it.

物事を見たり考えたりする時に、憧れ、手を伸ばしたくなることがよくあります。例えば花に頬擦りしたり、草原に転がったりという妄想。こんなに草木が好きなのに私は痒くて触れない。そんなできないこと、憧れていることを｢あの子達｣にしてもらおうと、制作のたび考えています。
触れないものを捉え、輪郭を妄想し、手から生み出すことで私なりに触ったことになります。
